Every story has a beginning. Mine starts with a deep passion for connecting people through the power of narrative. I am a St. Louis-based, Indian-born, interdisciplinary artist. I aim to make public and private spaces engaging, immersive, and contemplative.
My work is a response to society's gaze on the realities of women, where I record, process, and reflect on these perspectives. Rooted in feminist values, I integrate these principles through deliberate decisions, educational initiatives, and empowerment efforts. I delve into the social constructs of gender roles while engaging deeply with themes of migration, politics, and identity.Â
My artistic journey began with hand-cut paper, influenced by materials, location, and the installation process. I transform the act of cutting from something violent into an act of creation. I use light, space, time, and gravity as key elements in my installations.
My latest works combine cut paper, repurposed fabric, technology, and found objects. Through delicate manipulation of space, I aim to tell stories that evoke empathy, spark conversations, and inspire action.
