Dancer is a dynamic and interactive sculpture commissioned by the FLorrisant Civic Center to enhance wayfinding in the FLorrisant Community Center and to celebrate the vibrant community of artists housed within. This installation seeks to guide visitors through the building while reflecting the creativity and diversity of the artists who call this space their own.

Inspired by the fluid movements of dance, Dancer captures the essence of motion and rhythm, embodying the spirit of artistic expression. The sculpture is designed to be both functional and evocative, leading visitors through the Florrisant park in a graceful, intuitive manner. Central to the artist's unique style, the sculpture incorporates a repeated pattern of negative and positive shapes. The positive shapes—solid forms representing the dancer—are complemented by negative shapes, or voids, that create a dynamic interplay of light and shadow. These repeated patterns enhance the visual complexity and depth of the sculpture, allowing for sightlines through the piece that engage viewers from multiple perspectives and create a sense of transparency and openness.
