OVER AND UNDER

Over and Under Brentwood Parks 11' x 4' Painted Metal 2023

Designed by Indian born, St. Louis based artist Sukanya Mani, Over and Under references the migratory butterfly. Created on an 11’ high pole, the sculpture consists of four perched butterflies with intricately cut wings and body. A metaphor for migration and movement of global people, the artwork makes a connection between immigrant and resident cultures.
